Utah Beach today 11 July 2015

This morning I drove about 75 mile up the Normandy coast to Sainte Marie du Mont and then on to the Utah Beach Memorial Museum.

I saw this on the canal foot path on my way tp the post office this morning to get stamps before going on my Utah Beach trip.

The church in Ste. Marie du Mont.

Now this was a shocker, Nazi boots lined with human hair for insulation; taken from the Jews they murdered.

 Whacko Gerry cunts.

This is an military ARC-5 radio transmitter and was the first one I ever converted to the ham bands as a young lad amateur radio operator. It served as my first CW (Continuous Wave) radio telegraph code transmitter.

Senior Service fags, I used to smoke these as a rebel young rocker.

I had lunch at the Roosevelt Cafe today on the Utah Beach site.

They've been waiting for their lunch since 1945.

The sun hitting a CD on the floor of my car and propagating onto the dash panel.

 Saw these near Utah Beach.

Back in the hotel garage I spotted this old beast.

I spent too much time at Utah Beach so tomorrow I may go to Cherbourg.

Cheers,

David
