Still fighting a chest cold I went out to the city centre and took photos on my last day here. Tomorrow I go back to Sofia to work on the production arrangements and scheduling for our battery-less generator product.
Here are the photos of the day.
Outside on the hotel grounds, in summer they use this as an outdoor cafe.
Bottom door is the restaurant entrance.
The cozy hotel restaurant with a real fireplace.
There is artwork everywhere.
Walking out of the old section and heading to the city centre.
There are several mosques in Plovdiv, a recognizable muslim presence.
A model of the Roman sports arena, they they partly excavated but had to stop due to lack of funds.
Part of the excavation.
A kitty in the ruins.
Another water fountain.
The Godzilla nite club.
Yet another Russian Orthodox church.
It says: "Garage, no parking."
Yes I do read Bulgarian.
It reads : Dramatica Theatre.
There are many homeless dogs in Plovdiv, as is the case with most of East Europe.
I was told that when someone takes the dogs to save them, they are yellow tagged with an ID; like this lucky fella has.
Shops of the bridge, like a Bulgarian Uffizi.
I'm tired sick and cold so back to the hotel and resting till tomorrow when I leave for Sofia.
Cheers,
David
