Well It started out OK leaving in the morning from Reims France one me way to Bern Switzerland that turned out to be a 12 hour excruciating and painful ordeal, due to some road diversions that took me through secondary country roads all through southern France into Switzerland. When I arrived, there was a mixup in hotel arrangements and my room was given to someone else. I tried for an hour running around Bern looking for a room, but all hotels were filled. I even told one hotel bloke that I was a physicist and Bern was where Einstein lived and wrote the special theory of relativity in 1905, as he retorted with that and 5 Swiss Francs will get me a coffee in a coffee house there. (1 Franc = $1.07) I didn't get any photos of Bern, perhaps when I return. These are what I did take along the way through France and some of Switzerland. After not getting a room, I decided to make my way to Lugano Switzerland 3 hours away, but only managed to pull over after an hour and stay at a Holiday Inn Express layover hotel in Rothenburg Switzerland. I then headed for Lugano this morning where I am now.
