From Bern to Versailles 12.12.13

I left Bern yesterday and drove the 7 hour trip that took 9 hours due to my getting caught up in the dread Paris belt traffic in late afternoon. It makes the M1 in UK and the LIE in NY look like a ghost town.

Anyway I booked for a little less than 100 Euros a night, a one bedroom apartment flat in an old townhouse mansion in the centre of Versailles a few blocks from the Palace of Versailles. Versailles is one beautiful French city just 10 miles south west of Paris.

See the photags I took last night of the flat and a few this morn of my area of stay.

I will place more photags of the palace and things later.

Hard cooked eggs I bought in Bern.

Fog and freezing fog phenomena all through most of Switzerland and some of France.

 France is now clear.

Arriving at the flat in 16 Rue De L'Occident, Versailles, France 11.12.13 @ 20.00 French time.

 The cool flat.

 bonne journée!

Cathedrale de Sacre-Cour (Cathedral of the sacred heart.

Back to work and more photoags later.
Making my Versailles and London contacts.

Cheers,

David
