VOL II (2nd day in Bern 04/03/13)

TODAY WAS DEDICATED TO MY VISITING THE ALBERT EINSTEIN HAUS MUSEUM AT

#49 KRAMGASSE, BERN, CH.

I tried to go yesterday but they are closed on Sunday so I went again this morning and paid 6 Swiss Francs to enter the museum that was the Einstein family small flat in Bern from 1902 until 1909, where he wrote the Special Theory of Relativity.

The apartment is on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building (that would translate to the 2nd and 3rd floors in the US)

When I entered I was met by this nice lady the co-curator Verena Padberg, she was very kind and pretty as well.

I donated a small framed print of a huge oil painting I did of Einstein back in 1989, and the staff of the museum were thrilled to have it. They brought me into their office after I took photos and presented me with gifts. They asked what I did and I told them I was a physicist and artist.....my artwork will now be a permanent part of the museum.......

When I donated the framed image of Einstein Verena asked me if I wanted to watch a video on Einstein's career and life, I jumped at the chance. When I was through A man came into the viewing room and presented me with some small gift souvenirs relating to Einstein. He invited me into his office to see more items of Einstein. They were quite excited with the art I left them and it is a welcomed piece for the museum. Look for it if you ever go there. :)

Here then are the photos of Bern today and the museum visit.

A bit foggy this morning in Bern.

These two mates were a howl, one carrying this basket, so serious and intent of going his way. LOL

The chemist shop where Einstein bought medicine at times.

The steps leading up to the Einstein home.

The small living and gathering quarters, they slept upstairs over this room.

 For their first baby.

 Einstein's father and mother.

My new friend the co-curator, Verena Padberg.

The small framed piece I donated.

My shots of the video I was watching on his life.

 Einstein's Swiss passport.

 Einstein's pipe.

My art sits on the actual working desk of Albert Einstein.

This is my new friend, the Albert Einstein-Gesellschaft museum's curator and manager, Jurg Rub.

 A most unusual watch.

What a cute cookie, I miss my Mr. Einstein. :(

A huge painting of a piano in the hotel lobby.

It forms a "K" and the bridge I'm taking this shot from is the Korn Bridge.

This is the Swiss patent office HQ where our foreign patents will be filed in.

The Swiss Post Office, Viktoria Branch.

Hard cooked eggs i bought for my dinner tonight.

Boys will be boys, I took the shot because she was there. LOL

 Painted on jeans. LOL

Lemon flavoured mayonnaise, really great taste.

This is what our Gold Pig will look like some day soon, this is an ISM ENIGMA inside joke of sorts. Right lads!

An Easter lamb cake I bought today.

  My favourite hotel vase.

OK that's all folks, I leave in the morning for Innsbruck Austria. A 5 hours drive from Bern.
