From Pest 2 Timisoara (9 hour endeavour)

Yes, today I was on the road for 9 hours going from Buda-Pest to Timisoara Romania. Why, well for one, I was detained by Romanian customs for almost 1 hour for reasons not explained to me, so I didn't ask..........something about letting sleeping dogs lie.

Then the so called major roads in Romania are one lane going and coming and the speed limit is 55 mph and slower throug villages. Then because they changed the way streets are in the area where my hotel was, it tooke me an hour to find the bloody hotel even with GPS, which was wrong because no one told Garmin I suppose. I am so tired that now I can't sleep. However the hotel was a bargain find, a 4 star jobby for a 2-3 star price $106/night for a double room with free breakfast, free parking on the hotel car park, and right in the city centre square.

Incidentally, this is just the top area of northern Romania so I have to travel all throughout it in another day to go straight to Sofia Bulgaria, which will probably be a 12-14 hour drive, the longest continuous jaunt thus far.

See the photags.
