Through Translyvania 2 Sofia, diverted through Serbia as well

I did not place any info yesterday because after a 10 hour drive from Romania's Translyvania region and then driving through a long section of eastern Serbia down to Bulgaria, I arrived at Sofia, only to be disappointed with the Best (WORST) Western hotel I booked. I stayed there one night and then changed hotels this morning, to a class act called the Hotel ANEL, See: https://www.hotelanel.com/preview.php?tag=Sofia

At this juncture, I have to say that driving through all of these regions in Romania, Serbia, and Bulgaria; I have seen so many stray dogs, and dead dogs along the rods that it made me sick to the point that I even cried from sadness over this overwhelming tragedy.

Here are photos of the drive From Transylvania and Serbia to Sofia.

 Typical poor villages

 Poor narrow one lane roads

Waiting at a Serbian Customs Station

The steppes and foot hills of the Translyvanian Carpathian Mountains

 A Serbian village

 Serbian road kill

Getting up in the Carpatian Mountains ( Translyvania)

 Getting close to Bulgaria

 The Bulgarian Customs Station

 Now I am in Bulgaria

On the outskirts of Sofia, too tired to focus the camera

What a drive, very nerve wracking

Cheers,

David
