Zagreb 2 Brescia 13.12.12
Zagreb was cold, a goodly amount of snow, and a well kept secret, it is a beautiful and friendly city.
I left in the morning about 8 AM and headed for Brescia Italy, as it turned out, a 7 hour drive.
Not much to say other than the weather made driving testy mostly.
Heading out of Zagreb in the early morn
Crossing into Slovenia from Croatia
one of many tunnels in Slovenia
Now entering Italy at the Slovenian border
Italia at last!
Coming into Brescia
My short overnight stay in a Best (Worst) Western Hotel
in Brescia
Brescia Castle, The Falcon of Lombardy
Heading to Lugano Switzerland from Brescia
OK OK, so I got lost in the white out fog and had to divert 20 miles to get back on the Autostrada going to Lugano; but I still know Vector Calculus, Perturbation Theory and Quantum Physics, and you probably don't. LOL
Road toll gates, one of too many
Now in Switzerland, only 30 minutes away from Lugano
The tunnel leading into South Lugano
My room in the Hotel Victoria in Paradiso
Now for the beautiful lake front views of Lugano-Paradiso
11 AM Saturday 15 December 2012
Looking out of my terrace door
The peaks of Mt. Ticino
Lake Lugano, a glacier lake
The giant water spout directly across the street
I'll bet!
Palm trees thriving in the Lugano winter
Then about 2 PM the clouds broke and it became sunny
Hotel Victoria
The hotel room corridors reminds me of the film "The Shining." YIKES! And it wasn't enough that I was in Transylvania recently.
If I see two little girl twins, I'll shyte!
I miss me bike
There are 4 of these water rainy do dahs in the entrance of this fancy shmancy hotel a few blocks away
A bold lad indeed
I miss my Einstein
A leg of lamb in the Manor Department Store food shop area
I just couldn't resist
The last time I saw this tree, it was being lowered by a heliocopter
WHO DAT?
Good night from
Lugano-Paradiso Switzerland
Cheers,
me
