From Bolzano 2 Zagreb 02.12.14

I left a rainy Bolzano and drove 7.5 hours to Zagreb Croatia today and got to Zagreb at 16:30 CET (Central Europe Time.....6 hour difference from NY) I had to go up and down the Italian Alps filled with fogged in hairpin turns abound. Italian drivers in the mountains are crazy....too much espresso. The drive was very stressful in the Alps for me. However the good news is that My stomach was OK today and I felt stronger and better than in the past fortnight.
So of course I took some photos and will take more tomorrow of Zagreb, which I feel is a beautiful small city, East Europe's best kept secret and the people are very friendly and kind.

The mountain roads are getting steeper and narrower; filled with fog as well.

This is the treacherous secondary Apine road SS346

Hairpin Alley!

I had to stop and rest plus take a wazzeria.

All of these 320 degree hairpin turns one right after the other.
Upa and down down and up; had to constantly shift from 2nd to 3rd ad 3rd to 2nd just to make my way up and down the SS346 nighmare.

At this point, I just entered Slovenia.

 One my way to Croatia.

 Finally at the Hotel.

 Beautiful room.

Finally Sydney gets to sleep on a soft bed again. :)

Loking out of my hotel room window on the city centre below with the Xmas Village.

Time to say good night. Sydney and I are going to watch some old Charlie Chan films on YouTube.

Cheers from,

me
